Discover Cairo Egypt and the Nile River with 12 days and 11 nights of touring
various attractions in Egypt and cruising along the
Nile River.
You'll spend the first four days on land staying at a hotel in Cairo Egypt while visiting various sites and attractions in Cairo, Alexandria, and Luxor. On
the fifth day you will also spend the beginning of the day visiting various attractions in Luxor, and then you'll be escorted to your Nile Cruise which will be your home for the
next four nights.
During your Nile Cruise you'll be sailing to visit various attractions in Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan and Abu Simbel. You'll arrive in Aswan on the eighth day where
you will transfer to the airport and catch a flight to Cairo.
Day 10 and 11 you will spend on land in Cairo Egypt touring more attractions in Cairo and on Day 12 you will transferred to the airport to catch your flight for
final departure.
Day 1 of Tour, Thursday - Cairo
When you arrive at Cairo International Airport a representative will meet and assist you through airport formalities and escort you to your hotel in Cairo for check in where you will
stay overnight.
Day 2 of Tour, Friday - Cairo
After breakfast in the morning you will visit the Egyptian pyramids and the Sphinx, and enjoy a 30 minute camel ride. You will then have lunch and afterwards take a tour to
visit the Necropolis of Sakkara. After the Necropolis of Sakkara you'll visit Memphis, which was an ancient capital city in Egypt whose ruins are located just south of Cairo.
Day 3 of Tour, Saturday - Cairo and Alexandria
After breakfast take your coach to visit Alexandria, the Pearl of the Mediterranean, where you will visit various Egyptian attractions which include the Catacomb, the Pompeii Pillar,
the Qait Bay Fortress, the Library of Alexandria and the Montazah Gardens. You will then enjoy a seafood lunch, return to Cairo and stay overnight at your hotel.
Day 4 of Tour, Sunday - Cairo and Luxor
After breakfast head to the airport to catch a flight to Luxor where you will be escorted to your hotel for check in. After checking in to your hotel in Luxor you'll visit the
Karnak Temple in the East Bank. You will also visit the Luxor Temple by horse drawn carriages and then have lunch. In the evening you'll transfer to have dinner and then
return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5 of Cruise, Monday - Luxor
After breakfast you'll visit attractions in the West Bank including the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memmnon. After
visiting these Egyptian attractions in Luxor you will set off on your Nile Cruise which will be your home for the next four nights. You'll be escorted to your Nile Cruise and
embarkation will be before lunch. You'll have dinner and stay overnight on board the cruise.
Day 6 of Cruise, Tuesday - Luxor and Edfu
After your breakfast you can enjoy the the beautiful Egyptian scenery from the Nile River on board the cruise. You'll have lunch while the cruise sails to Edfu, where after
lunch you will visit the Temple of Edfu. You'll have dinner and stay overnight on board the cruise.
Day 7 of Cruise, Wednesday - Kom Ombo and Aswan
Your Nile cruise will sail early to Kom Ombo and after breakfast you'll visit the Egyptian temples dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris. Afterwards the cruise will sail to
Aswan while you have lunch onboard. You can relax onboard the rest of the day, have dinner and overnight while heading to Aswan.
Day 8 of Cruise, Thursday - Aswan
After your breakfast you'll visit the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple in Aswan. You can then relax onboard the cruise for the rest of the day, have dinner
and overnight.
Day 9 of Tour, Friday - Aswan and Cairo
You'll disembark the cruise after breakfast and take a coach heading towards Abu Simbel where you will visit the Temple of Ramses II. After you'll transfer to the airport to
catch a flight to return to Cairo via Aswan where you will check in to your hotel in Cairo. You'll have the rest of the day free, have dinner in the evening and overnight at
your Cairo hotel.
Day 10 of Tour, Saturday - Cairo
After having breakfast you'll tour the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities and then visit Khan El Khalili Bazaar where you can shop for souvenirs. Afterwards you'll return to your
hotel for overnight.
Day 11 of Tour, Sunday - Cairo
After your breakfast you'll tour the Citadel and Mohamed Ali's mosque, Sultan Hassan's mosque, the Hanging Church and Abu Serga Church. Afterwards you'll eat lunch and in the
evening transfer to have dinner and return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 12 of Tour, Monday - Departure
After you have breakfast you'll be transferred to the airport to catch a flight for your final departure.
